Congratulations to all on a great State Meet. Results are online.

To all Regional Qualifiers, please let us know if you plan to participate on the 19th in Tallahassee. The deadline to respond has been extended to tomorrow night.

State Meet

MPTC parents and athletes,

Please look over the meet information and course maps for the State Meet on November 12th. If you haven't already indicated your intent to participate, please do so now. There will be no late entries.

Also, USATF South Carolina is in great need of volunteers for the meet! Since we had to cancel our home meet, we are counting on many of our parents to take this opportunity to volunteer at the State Meet instead. The meet can't take place without your help.

Due to the looming hurricane, Saturday's meet has been cancelled. We are very sorry to have to do this, but we're confident it is the right choice.

Practices on Wednesday, October 5th and Thursday, October 6th have also been cancelled. Please run on your own if you are able to do so safely.

Florence Meet Results

Results from Saturday's meet in Florence are available. Great job, everyone! Get ready for our home meet on Saturday the 8th.

MPXC Carnival Results

Results from this morning's meet are online. Great job to all who participated!

Injury Prevention

Please plan to join us tonight for Select Physical Therapy's talk on injury prevention...under the shelter at practice. Thanks!!

New Team and Meet Records

Mt. Pleasant Track Club athletes set eight new team records yesterday. Additionally, there were 35 meet records broken, 11 of those by MPTC athletes.

Team records were broken by Jianna Green (8&U Girls 100m Dash, 16.63), Jayla Grant (13-14G Shot Put, 11.43m), Chloe Berda (13-14G Javelin Throw, 31.82m), Zane Jackson (13-14B 3000m Run, 9:35.04), Dillon McCarthy (13-14B Pole Vault, 3.81m), Elijah Bull (15-16B 110m Hurdles, 16.84), and Raena Burns (17-18G 400m Hurdles, 1:08.15). Elijah also tied the 15-16B High Jump record (1.77m). The old records broken by Jayla, Chloe, and Dillon were their own records from last year. Those three plus the marks by Zane and Raena were also new meet records.

Additional meet records were set by Jacob Ashley (11-12B Discus Throw, 22.78m); Emma Sonberg, Samantha Gause, Savannah Perry, and Sydney Riddle (15-16G 4x100m Relay, 46.41); Aidan Richter (15-16B 800m Run, 2:06.37; 15-16B 1500m Run, 4:31.89); Elijah Bull (15-16B 400m Hurdles, 59.94); and Liam Christensen (17-18B Javelin Throw, 60.92m). Liam's mark shattered a record that was set in 2008 by over 13 meters.

Home Meet Results

Thanks to everyone who helped with and participated in our home meet yesterday. Results are available, and will be integrated into the site soon.

MPTC Team Records

The records listed on the Records tab are not necessarily MPTC Team Records. (In fact, very few are at the moment.) Eventually they will be, once all historical data is imported, but until then they represent the top marks currently in the system.

In the meantime, here are the actual MPTC Team Records.

Miscellaneous Updates

Please check out the schedule and hotel lists for the Myrtle Beach Meet and State Meet.

The location of Regionals was finally announced to be Spartanburg High School. We will have the schedule posted for that meet as soon as it's available. Remember that to qualify for Regionals, you must finish in eighth place or better in each respective event at the State Meet.

Finally, don't forget to let us know whether you intend to participate in our home meet on the 21st, and to double check to make sure that your event selections are correct. You can check the performance list to verify - anyone not listed here will not be registered for the meet, so be sure to submit your responses before the Sunday night deadline.

Florence Results Update

The results from last Saturday's meet in Florence are now easily accessible on the meet page, and are integrated into the individual athlete pages as well as the results query. All future meets (and gradually, all past meets) will be given the same treatment.

Please note that results from the boys' 3000m race on Saturday are still not present. As far as we know, the actual results from that race were not recorded and do not exist. If you notice any other issues, please let us know.

Florence Meet Results

Results from last Saturday's meet in Florence have been posted in raw format. These results will be integrated into the site soon.

Please plan to be at practice today (Monday, May 2nd). We will hand out awards from the meet at our team meeting after practice.

Sign-ups for Florence Meet End Today

Don't forget to sign up for the Florence meet if you intend to participate! The sign-up window closes tonight, after which point the option to do so will be unavailable. Please submit all event change requests as well.

Welcome to the new Mt. Pleasant Track Club website!

Welcome to the new Mt. Pleasant Track Club website!

Starting later this week, all registrants for the 2016 Track & Field season will receive an email detailing the new sign-up process. If you haven't registered yet, please do not forget to do so by either visiting an MPRD location in-person or signing up through the MPRD website.

Among the changes for this year is a new policy of having parents/athletes communicate to MPTC which meets they intend to participate in, rather than communicating which meets they do not plan to attend. This communication will take place through this website. We have also added the ability to upload birth certificates and request event changes through this website.

Historical results have not yet been imported. Some scattered few results have been added as sample data - these specific results are all correct, but part of a very incomplete set. Until more results have been imported, take all notations of records (personal records, team records, etc.) with a grain of salt. Lots of new data and new features will be added gradually throughout the season.
